About

I am currently an Informatics PhD student at Indiana University's Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering in the Computing, Culture, and Society (CCS) track. My background is in business and technology, having previously worked as a management consultant and in a technology company.

Research

Currently, I study the ideologies and logics that underpin various Silicon Valley and AI subcultures, with a particular focus on how these ideas move into broader culture.

I have also published on datafied and computational ways of knowing in sensitive health domains and on the ways in which the metaphor of "monoculture" has migrated into computing discourse.

I use a mixed-methods approach, drawing on science and technology studies, critical AI studies, cultural studies, and history to better understand contemporary computing cultures.

Advisors

I am advised by Nathan Ensmenger, Elizabeth Kaziunas, and Rachel Plotnick.
